That is good food for thought, and something I have considered. It's actually why I added some fruit into my diet, specifically banana and kiwi, but after looking into potassium rich sources, seems ill-advised.
I can safely say my current potassium intake is at least 3,000mg a day, which leads me to think a supplement is in order.
Here's a good question, when I was eating strictly paleo, I think I wasn't getting enough potassium. Is it a possibility that this could have been what lead to the fatigue and fainting, only exacerbated by not having enough carbs?
Considering switching my fruits out for avocados. I'm fond of eating them as-is, and they contain 737mg potassium per cup. On a side note, this would also explain why I made some guacamole and ate the whole bowl 2 nights ago. It was at least 2 cups of mashed avocado.
