Re: Zombie House

If you want more information on bamboo, contact the american bamboo society. It is important to plant the right variety, or if it's one of the 'running' bamboos, to contain it with concrete barriers before you plant it. I've purchased starts from a nursery in south florida called 'tropical bamboo nursery', they give good explanations on how to plant for containment if it is a running bamboo, and I had good luck with the starts I got from them. Bamboo can provide in instant green wall if done correctly, and you can stand under it and take a deep breath even if the air is nasty, and feel better. It is much easier to find nice large bamboo in climates without much frost, but there are also types that can tolerate cold, even big ines...
I remember 'caddy shack', and I did think the rat guy I had was pretty funny. Kind of like the marlboro man after rats, 'real men' trap their rats with big black rat traps..... A definite character.
He also seems to know his rats, my cats haven't been acting upset or chasing anything in the middle of the night. We have rat tracks from a critter that walked in fresh paint on the kitchen floor we are about to replace- I'm considering cutting it out and keeping it as a souvenier of our first days here.
