A friend of mine cautioned me against taking artificial vitamin A. Her hair started falling off when on vit A but started normal growth after dropping the vit. Also a doc told me to take a glass of tomato or carrot juice instead, with a pinch of olive oil.
There is a possibility of vit A toxicity if you take too much of it. But if you take carrots, it has beta carotene in it, a precursor of vit A, and with it you cant't get toxic.
What do you all have to say about these thoughts? My hair hasn't started falling off after substituting w vit A.
