It really pains me to hear how your mom reacted, but unfortunately, she is not qualified to even BE a mother, so she should shut the hell up. She sounds stupid and ignorant, and now you know she does not deserve your respect. My mother is the same way, just stupid, petty, she has a very shallow affect, and she cant possibly comprehend things, so she points to an over simplified understanding of the world, much like, "wearing black equals getting raped, and oh, its not the rapists fault AT ALL by YOURS!" Plleaase...
