Re: Phosphatidyl serine/Seriphos - Why Does it Make Some People Hyperactive/Unable to Sleep?
I agree with the C, however magnesium isnt tolerated by those in severe AF, and most calcium is not ideal..b complexs and even b5 are extremely stimulating...if you do for it, start LOW and SLOW!
Yes benzos are probably what has messed up your HPA axis, the AF I had before benzos, what I know now, could of been dealt with so much easier and quicker.
Have you not had a cortisol test yet? Also see if your real doctor (not a makebelieve 'naturpath') do a 24 hours catacheomile test, it will measure thinks like norephirine (adrenaline), dopamine, cortisol etc over a 24 hour period. My cortisol was low, and my adrenaline extremely high...knowing this and reading a lot of Dr Lams work is how I put the two together.
Ever noticed your sleep is even worse if you have been particularly active all day? have you tried having a bed day with no stimulation of any sorts (sometimes it takes 2-3 days of this for your system to calm down), dark room, candles, no sound, no vision, just peace and quiet, I bet you sleep better doing that night.
NAC is also a good supplement for helping to detox adrenaline, but it can be powerful to sensitive systems..
Have you ever looked into Benzo Protracted Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS) as you mentioned you used benzos for a long time. IT might help explain a lot, Benzo Buddies is a great site to sign up to
