Phosphatidyl serine/Seriphos - Why Does it Make Some People Hyperactive/Unable to Sleep?

I'm one of the few people who experiences a paradoxical effect from Seriphos and I'm wondering if anyone knows the Science behind why this happens? I have too much cortisol at night and not enough in the morning, as a result of adrenal fatigue. I think I took too many adrenal stimulants, and now I make cortisol again, but at the wrong time. So I took Seriphos to try to retrain my body to produce the most cortisol in the morning and the least at night, but it had the opposite effect, and for weeks I've had the worst insomnia of my life. I had been off lunesta and any sleeping drugs for years, but I went back on out of total desperation, and it's barely worked.

Many people online who have had a similar effect from Seriphos started taking it in the morning, and it helped with their insomnia at night, but I tried that for a week, and that's when all hell broke loose and I wasn't able to sleep more than 2 hours for three days straight. Now I'm sleeping 6 hours a night, but it's a battle every night, waking up every few hours to take more herbs, aminos, lunesta and now beta blockers. I need 8-9 hours of sleep a night, so I can't go on like this.

Many people have said Seriphos worked for them for a week and then gave them horrible insomnia. That's exactly what happened to me and I'm trying to understand why. Did I take too much? Not enough? I was taking 1-3 a night and it wasn't enough, so I went up to 8 and at one point 12 because many people online said that worked for them, but I'm guessing it was too much. I'm scared to take any now, but I don't know of another product that can help me. Holy basil, relora, melatonin aren't helping, and of course I also take gaba, tryptophan, magnesium, etc.

I've scoured the internet trying to find a study that would explain the Science behind why some people have this paradoxical effect from Seriphos. Does anyone know why?

Phosphatidyl serine, which is Seriphos in another form, is known to cancel cortisol but be energizing, so I don't take that at night. I've also tried Enerphos, which is the same substance as Seriphos (phosphorylated serine) under another brand name. I've ordered Cortiphos which is the same substance, but made by a 3rd company, because some have had success with that. But at this point, I wonder if I should cancel my order and give up. If I do, though, I don't know how I'll fix my body's cortisol output timing.
