Re: Hypoglycemic Insomnia and Too Much Nighttime Cortisol
Personally, I study and practice Ayurveda, the concepts of Ayurveda help to re-balance the entire body and bring the entire endocrine system back to where it should be. I believe that most of the treatments people on this site are following are trying to correct each individual problem without focusing on the root cause, this will never work in my opinion. I believe that the thalamus, pituitary, thyroid and the adrenals have a complex relationship that we cannot understand by looking at hormone blood tests. A certain gland can be over-stimulated and still produce sub-normal hormone levels. Each person should give serious consideration to their diet, the ratio of macro-nutrients and micro-nutrients that they are taking. Supplements, even natural supplements should not be taken lightly and whimsically, they can do severe damage. Generally, the more meat contained in the diet the more the Pituitary-Thyroid-Adrenal axis will be stimulated, the more carbohydrates in the diet the more this axis will be pacified. Ashwagandha is a very potent supplement and one small dosage can have the same impact of consuming many servings of red meat, very helpful for certain people and extremely harmful for others. If you really want to cure yourself, you have to understand everything that is going on in your body and what impact your current diet (and possibly herbs that you are taking) are having on your body.
You are into spirituality, that is very good because your best option is to pray to be healed, to find a true healer that can heal your mind and body, otherwise our healing systems and nutritionists both mainstream and alternative are completely useless, as is the advice you receive from almost everyone on curezone.
