Re: impacted fecal matter is real- yes it is!
I believe you 100%. I started showing bowel problems at 3yrs old. My family would say I'd take my potty chair and my pets (guinea pigs, mice, rabbits, etc) and take them into strange areas of the house for hrs. sitting and crying trying to have a bowel movement. So of course this was early 70's so I had Penicillin for every meal, but no change. It wasn't until I was about 14 before I could tell anyone how extreme my situation was. Most was blamed on "stress", which was odd because I had a great child hood/life, EXCEPT for the abdominal pain and no relief. And trips to the E.R. turned into accusations of going in just for pain relief (I wrote quite a bit down below so I don't want to go into all the detail again, but I'd love to see just ONE of those Dr.s live like that from the age of 3 until 31, when they finally took my entire lrg intestine and rectum out. And I explained down below they had given me an ileostomy 2 1/2 prior to removing the lrg. bowel, and when they opened it, it was impacted with my bowels stretched to 10cm, and this was aged 2 1/2 yrs because NOTHING could get past the stoma when it was placed as a temporary since both ends were stapled shut. So for all those Dr.s that blamed me for FAKING being sick, and in PAIN.. ....well, I'm sure you know where they can go! Back to med school for one:) Cute kitty, I love animals, probably because they were always there for me in my life of pain! And I agree, WHERE did they get that picture? And no gloves, blahhhh! Take care, I'm glad you feel better.
