Re: Stomach issues after cleanse

PM #176675,

I am not sure what where you learn your theories about these drugs. But you are not quite on target here.

First of all, Ivermectine and Prazinquantel are not just for "worms"? They are for Stronglodies and liver flukes, respectively. (Ivermectine also kills "river blindness").

Albendazole is Helminths... and some nemotodes... such as trichuria, toxacara, etc.

Protozoa, if one has E. Histolytica or Giardia, Alinia is the wrong drug. If you have giardia, 7 days of Metronidazole, which is a horrible drug, at 750, is what usually prescribed. Contrary to many theories, metronidazole will kill giardia. But alinia will kill some "protoza" such as cryptosporidum and also has efficacy against liver flukes like that Fasciola Heptica. But the drug of choice for Fasciola is Triclabendazole.

But if you have Eh, the best treatment is a combo of Tinidazole and Paromo; the first for 5 days, and the next for 10 days. But you have to take them in precise doses, in accordance with your weight. If you never took that combo, in precise order, one after the other, you will never kill Eh.

And the other thing: One should not start with Albendazole or Ivermectine, or Prazy...

Drugs.com has very good info. on how one should take these....

But still better to get a real diagnosis than to take all these drugs, because they are extremely harsh on the body. On that point I agree with PM #176675.
