Re: Bible Origins
You contradict your own argument, that the gospels were not written by the authors who they are named after them, by saying the are written by anonymous, as if that is an actual person.
Then you vaguely say "they..., they...." Present some links and quotes for they, to at least back yourself up.
"But that really is not the most amazing part: what still surprises is that, paradoxically, though the four gospels are anonymous they in fact tell us more about their authors than they do about their ostensible subject, the historical Jesus of Nazareth. "
LOL! Once again you contradict yourself in your own statement. You seem to admit they were the authors with the statement, "they in fact tell us more about their authors". Your argument does not navigate this subject, which actually reinforces through a paradox that is not contradictory, but merely seems like it to you.
Your arguments lack an over-arching logic which would create a coherent structure to the point you are trying to make. Instead it is filled with sporadic opinion, as if those assumptions will make the information true.
"That the gospels tell us more about the situations of their origin than about their subject is a disturbing idea, and remains controversial."
Perhaps you find that to be a disturbing idea and controversial, it is what it is that is the truth.
