Not necessarily deficient in K.
It's like this -- from many years experience trying to stop heart arrhythmia, it turns out that potassium absorption/assimilation is enabled by enough magnesium.

It takes a long time of massive supplements of magnesium to get it into the cells, then the potassium in food is enough.
