Debate isn't the exclusive reserve of 16 year-olds userV, and certainly isn't a symptom of childish behavior; you only have to inquire at the Oxford Uni' Debating society to realize this.
The original post from which the thread was deleted, was posted as O/T, and accepted as such for quite sometime before being deleted/censored. People learn through the process of debate, and can be instigated by opinions and writings that are seen by others as erroneous, and in response to correcting misleading statements.

I understand, and of course accept Ginagirls reasons for doing so, but best to let sleeping dogs lie, rather than stoke the fires yet again with any illusions you may have as to any self-righteousness.
