IMO all these words like 'debate' have such a wide meaning they don't really define the issue that mucks up most boards.
Mostly those are posting to force the change of someones mind. That just never works..

Perhaps a better method is to share info, true and tried by oneself and others in response to a post. Else its like fans cheering for two different sports teams.. :)
