I suggested a topical anti-bacteria ointment, not one you ingest. I do not think anyone here got EC by applying a TOPICAL anti-bacteria ointment. I hate ingesting Antibiotics because they strip my intestines of mucus with all these side effects. Again, test results (i.e. culture tests) are not always 100% accurate. Your doctors may have all agreed on what the culture test was showing. However, they should have prescribed a topical instead of something you ingest. If a staph infection is serious, you should be given Antibiotics through IV instead of ingesting it. But this skin staph infection is not life threatening so a topical should do and is probably more effective.
