Re: Mike Pylon

So, Prevex is hydrocortisone and Fucidin is an anti-bacteria ointment used primarily to treat infections caused by staphylococcal bacteria. Hmm...sounds like it could be a staph infection. I recall you stating you developed EC after a chemical peel on your lips. Since your lip skin was raw or exposed, staph bacteria may have entered so the wound was unable to heal properly. I read about patients getting staph infections after chemical peels or laser resurfacing on the face. In your case, it could have just been that you had raw skin that got infected. Some of us have raw or cracked skin all the time from allergies or other conditions. I am curious to know once the area on lips is healed by diminishing bacteria... if the bacteria will be able to enter the lips again. I am thinking this bacteria may only be able to invade raw or cracked skin. So, I hope you can continue being healed without having to apply anything on your lips.
