Re: Rosemary may be the most powerful thing I have ever juiced.

Hi,
I've been juicing veggies twice a day and had a couple of similar issues. I normally juice ginger, spinach/dandelion/chard, cabbage, celery, cucumber, apple, and lemon. Just so you know my husband and his mother also drink the same juice every day.

After juicing lemon with the rind for a few days I got intense flu-like symptoms with kidney and joint pain. I thought I had a kidney infection like I did a few years ago. It was super painful for me-- but my husband and mother in law were perfectly fine! Next day my fluishness cleared up. I read that the lemon rind can clear up kidney stones, so maybe that's what happened. Now I always peel the lemon.

Last week I added horseradish instead of ginger. I love horseradish and eat a lot of it on meats and with sushi etc. But juicing it? O.M.G. I immediately felt the lining of my stomach churning up. A few minutes later I could feel it in my mucus membranes in my face, head, and skull. I could feel it in my extremities, in my veins. I was slightly lightheaded for the rest of the day. I also had a white blob in my stool the next day. I think it's probably the dead yeast in my digestive tract (I suspect I might have candida).

My husband loved the horseradish and now insists on it. My mother in law had flulike symptoms and diarrhea for one day and got better. I think I will stick to horseradish with food :)
