I honestly believe there needs to be a combination of mental/emotional retraining as well as physical treatment. When your mind is overrun with stress/anxiety/ Depression it actually triggers a release of the calming minerals, which is natural. And in the short term these are easily replenished. But if we continue in fight or flight mode our body cannot keep up with the demand so that even if we have removed the stress and have retrained our brains we often still need supplementation because the body has just been too depleted.Otherwise the vicious cycle continues. Negative emotions lead to release of calming minerals, which in turn, promotes further anxiety and negative emotion.
