I haven't been supplementing with magnesium orally - mainly have been using magnesium chloride in baths - about 2 large handfuls. (careful not to get my hair in it as that would screw up the hair testing) 1 Mag bath a week. Mag. chloride is highly absorbable (from what i've read so far) in comparison to oxide which is about 4% absorbtion.
I was going to make some Mag 'oil' with it too and use it daily on the skin for dermal absorbtion. I too have read that is an effective way.
I've held off from supplementing hard with magnesium as initial hair test showed level of 18. Which was a shocker as alot of my symptoms point to a mag deficiency so expected it to be low. Am trying to figure out how magnesium can become bio-unavailable?
I know it's not being used in my body as i'm a classic trembly, tense muscles, anxious mag. deficient type.
