Seems like autoimmune and allergic diseases  in more developed countries would be "more related" to the exposure of chemicals, toxins, pesticides, antibiotics, heavy metals etccc. than water quality+contact with animals.

Interesting that the Tricuris Suis infects +harmful to pigs but not pathogenic to humans? Was there further explanation to this? I'm sure this had to be tested thoroughly before the father decided to go along with the experiment.

Seems like the parent was pretty desperate to alleviate his child's autisitic symptoms. My wife's friend had to babysit an autisitc child and said it was one of the most challenging tasks she has ever had to do. After 6 months the stress was too much for her and moved on to a different babysitting postition. I can't imagine the stress levels that parents have to go through with a child with severe autism.
