So my gf had a mirena IUD put in in may of this year. Before she had to paps done and all came back normal. After 2 weeks having it in we resumed sexua| activity. She would bleed evetytime and after a few weeks it got worse. Her gyno said it was normal for someone that never had kids. So we let it go for a little while. Kept getting worse so she went back in again and they did a pelvic scan and saw what they called an "angry bump". She had it biopsied in 5 areas. 2 weeks later results came back as full blown cancer. She saw a oncologist and he told her the same and had to have a partial hysterectomy. The docs kept saying the IUD couldn't cause it and the cancer probably was already there and the IUD or the strings could've angered it and made it cone out. But over the course of 2 months it grew from size of 2 mm. To the size of 2 thumb tips. Now you tell me that an IUD can't cause cancer?? BS! Docs put stuff in people every day that they know could cause serious issues and not tell patients the whole truth. So any one you know putting one in tell them NO!!
