Re: Die-off or cold?

I think one of the most important things you can do before going on one of these crazy low carb diets is to make sure 100% you don't have another problem ( which could even be causing candida overgrowth ). I get the feeling a lot of new members posting here asking " is this die off " and then message after message of people saying " yeah , you'll get past it " is a bad idea. This is a forum and you can't take everyone's word as the truth but I think people tend to post here in desperation and tend to believe anything, I was exactly the same and it's highly unlikely any of us are in the exact same situation regardless of how similar our symptoms might be.

I've been on what everyone I know considers a ridiculous healthy Diet for around 2 years now , zero Sugar and switching fats , carbs and protein around in different ratios to see what suits my body best. I've tried tons of antifungals and supplements. I've had a colonoscopy , endoscopy , CT scan , numerous blood tests. Nothing came back and I'm still unwell. Candida might be an issue for me but I'm at a point now where I'm seriously thinking it's not the problem , just a part of it.

My advice to anyone before going through the nightmare of these diets , anti fungals ( which can cause some terrible side effects and health problems ) and usually unnecessary supplements is to get checked fully for everything else. Diagnosable conditions such as colitis , crohns disease , celiac disease , liver problems and so on. Then get checked for any parasites , get everything you think could be a possibly checked.

I'm sure many of you already have , all I know is that I spent far to long hoping for a miracle cure eating a low carb diet and taking anti fungals , 99% of the time that isn't how it works and you'll be most likely making things worse. Most of the Candida Forum s show you this with people still clueless about what's going on in their own body after being around for years.

I'm not saying I personally know anything about someones health other than my own but it seems people put all their hope and faith in these diets and antifungals and end up coming back frustrated and depressed. It's not nice to see or to go through.
