Re: longterm!
As far as the sex question, I am thinking some people are more sensitive to this- like African Americans (who have more melanocyte stimulating hormone) or people with allergies (who have more immunoglobins in blood) are more prone to getting keloids (similar to this lip condition with role of fibroblasts). I do not know if we need to be more careful with our lips so we do not use as much pressure. Just so you know, most girls prefer gentle kissing instead of rough kissing. Maybe some females do not have allergies and can do more rough kissing. I really do not know.
I apply enough drops on Q-tip to spread over my upper and lower lip after I eat breakfast and after dinner.
No, my lips no longer get white when in contact with water. During the first week, there is faint white but it is not gooey as usual. This is the old skin that needs to exfoliate little by little each day before the lip is smooth or normal again.
I do not need to wear moisturizer because my lips feel smooth during the day. My lips were a little dry the first week when exfoliating old buildup or forming flakes on raw skin on upper lip, but they got smooth after they were healed. At first I thought the
Iodine drops were aggravating my lips, but it is just part of the healing process. Now, it feels like the
Iodine drops have no effect on my lip or do not make them dry. I am still applying the drops since Healing wants me to.
I have no white, no pain, no numb, and no peeling. You just need to remember your lips will gently exfoliate the old buildup during the first week.
