I think inflammation in intestines signals the lips to produce fibroblasts that cause EC. I think increased fibroblasts signaled from lip pressing or biting causes EC. I believe the strips decrease fibroblasts (actually it is a fact that silicone gel strips decrease fibroblasts). Once the fibroblasts are decreased, I believe the lips heal normally. I believe increased fibroblasts interfere with normal collagen production.

Oh, you need to use the Iodine Potassium drops with the strips because I do not think the strips can get as deep in tissue as the drops. But once the lips heal, the drops do not reach as deep into the tissue since the skin closed/healed up and it cannot reach as deep. Tweet
