Re: longterm!

What I am suggesting is inflammation in intestines may be triggering fibroblasts to lips. If the inflammation is eliminated (gluten-free diet or whatever can eliminate the cause of inflammation in intestines= a GI doctor may know). In the future, an alternative to gluten-free diet for celiac disease may be to decrease fibroblasts. I suppose that would be done with a pill, which one may need to take on an ongoing basis- I am not sure. It seems that once the inflammation is eliminated from intestines, then the intestines will no longer trigger fibroblasts to lips. The pill could probably work for any condition causing inflammation in the intestines.

I also think pressing down on lips may trigger increased fibroblasts in lips. This treatment might permanently heal the lips if one stops pressing lips together or biting lips. Right now, I do not know if the cause of increased fibroblasts in my case is due to pressing lips together or inflammation in intestines from celiac disease.

I believe allergies may also trigger increased fibroblasts.
