Re: acid and alkaline

The coloquiel understanding of Ph is basicly wrong. One isnt good or wanted and the other bad or unwanted. Acid and alkaline is refering to a compound and thus a systems also, designed and working state, and how the systems are going to relate, and interact within the larger system.

While having any particular body system being too acidic or too alkaline is important to know, if we are going to be our own clinician it behooves us to really know whats going on and why, in more than a general sense. (thus the use of baking soda to affect acidity or alkaline concoctions ect can be counterproductive if w dont work on the reasons for the incorrect state)

Rather than a ballance being our objective, there are some situations and areas needing an acid state and some needing a more alkaline state.

PH,potential hydrogen,is a scale of the electrical charge. Acid means an electron stealer (as in the antibacterial action found in urine, as well as in the actions of digestion, and how elements of our immune system work on destroying the unwanted), and alkaline describes an electron donor, which we might think would be always desirous, but if we investigate these process' we find that isnt always so).
