Re: Is this guy Born Again?

To answer his question I am not saying fasting is not significant.

Hi Thorns.  Then we agree.  Your comment of andy hallucinating from lack of food i will embrace as one made in jest, one which you didn't really mean.

... But being our family is our first ministry I can't buy the whole God is calling him to do all these things when his family is broken. This man needs to focus on his family ministry.

Perhaps you and others can not know this man's life by watching one video and hearing a very incomplete description of him having lost his wife and family.  A deeper search and you will find that his wife cheated on him.  Even still he attempted to reconcile with her, but she flatly rejected this idea.  He even did a 40 day (water-only) fast in the hopes that the Lord would reconcile his marriage.  I view this as an example of extraordinary commitment to a marriage, but what can you do when you are married to someone who openly embraces sin and openly rejects holiness?   When you have the whole story, you realize he is saying that he lost his family because he was following the Lord Jesus and his wife was not.  And in man's system, the kids are almost always awarded to the mother, in spite of the fact that she is an adulteress, so he lost his daily relationship with them as well.

Blessings.
