Have you considered magnesium deficiency? It's a common laxative ingredient: milk of magnesia for instance.

Another thing you might try is upping vit C to GI tolerance: you'll know when your body has too much, then back off. Ester-C is a non acidic form of Vit C and superior to a sorbic acid .

Another thing worthy of consideration might be to eat lots of coconut: like bob's red mill flaked coconut which has many antifungal properties, has lots of good nutrients and beneficial fiber. Of course, you could also use a soluble fiber supplement. Many would say increasing soluble fiber through leafy green veggies is preferable over the supplements.

just some thoughts. I'm NO expert, only another sufferer trying to figure out their own path forward but, perhaps some things I've gleaned might be useful.
