Re: Insomnia and Low Blood Pressure, Aldosterone

I don't have a prostate too. Marie, sounds like your body wastes salt like mine. If I don't take my salt, I need to pee every hour. If it's a hot day, I up my salt intake, at the end of the day I smell like the ocean. I've been taking salt at bedtime for the last four days and feel calmer but I'm not seeing any improvement in my insomnia. Everyday I wake up in panic mode at around 4am. My heart beats fast and I wake up feeling hot. Maybe my body hasn't metabolized all that adrenaline caused by my low blood pressure over the years. Or maybe it's cortisol. Can you sleep straight through the night? Or do you need to take salt every few hours? What are your cortisol levels like?
