Re: Herbert M. Shelton and people quoting his literature
Members who quote Shelton, or any other source on fasting will usually support their opinions and advice by quoting "chapter and verse" from his encyclopaedic knowledge. I refer to my earlier post in this thread.

Your comment..............
"It happens on the fasting forum, and also on some other forums on curezone".
Which fasting forum/s are you referring to?
AND.....
"Some (not all) people push certain treatments, when they have only a shallow understanding of what they are talking about".
Perhaps, but that is pure speculation and conjecture on your part.
AND......
"Warnings, precautions and contraindications are often not mentioned".
Because these are few and far between, the greatest of which is fear of the fast. Fasting is far safer than eating, AND more people DIE through food-intake (obesity) than they ever have while fasting. No contest. Mind you if they did, it is "sensationalism" that makes the news. "Man dies of starvation", sells more newspapers I suppose.
AND.........
"They don't seem to care if someone is hurt as a result of following their advice".
Again, pure speculation and conjecture, if not cynicism, unless you can actually prove what you have said. You are overlooking any altruistic and humanitarian motives in helping others via their own experiences.
AND.......
"Some people feel "important" in curezone, when they don't feel important in the real world".
This, and all of the above are hypothetical comments, based on nothing more than being spiteful perhaps? or an emotionally based response in witnessing others helping those in need.
AND........
Some people will be agreeable with things others say, when they don't really agree, because if they support the other person, the other person should support them. The gang is involved in mutual empowerment.
Personally, I welcome differing opinions and points of view in the Water-only-fasting-Support-Forum, unless of course any advice given could be construed as being potentially harmful and against the prevailing experience/testimony of the last 150 years.
AND.........
"When anyone expresses a different opinion, several members of the gang turn hostile towards them. So the gang will maintain its position of power".
Gangs? Power? I must remember to bring my knife with me the next time "the gang" congregates, in fear of my life!!
AND......
"Many of the people who would give good advice have been driven away".
They probably left of their own volition and for reasons unknown, unless you can actually prove this of course?
AND............
"People need to be aware, if they follow the advice of some (not all) people on curezone, and have bad effects, don't expect those giving the advice to feel responsible".
I am certain there would be repercussions, and serious ones at that, if any advice given had been harmful or even life-threatening, but that has not been the case in my experience and membership over the last 5 to 6 years.
