Re: Why God won't heal amputees
First and foremost, I'm not "planting seeds of doubt" within anyone. I'm not saying that God doesn't heal. Look, the bottom line is that God does heal when He so chooses to do so. I have to retract my statement, because you're right. God does perform miracles everday. The miracle of life worldwide. We go to sleep, we wake up. Plants, animals, the moon, the sun and the stars. The body repairs itself which is a mircle from God.
You said that we have a right to be healed? No we don't. God owes us "nothing." Being healed by God is a gift. If someone gives you a gift, does that mean that you have a right to receive that gift? No, it does not. Jesus and his disciples healed all kinds of ailments in the Bible. Did any of these people have a right to be healed? No. Why did Jesus heal them? He healed them because he loved them, and not because they had a right to be healed.
Again, I'm not here to plant seeds of fear or doubt within anyone. God does heal. He might not heal all diseases and conditions, but He does miracles and He does heal. Am I angry with God? Sure I am. Is it His fault that I'm suffering from malodor syndrome, which has completely ruined my life? Of course not! That's counterintuitive thinking! Denial, anger, bargining, acceptance, it's a continuing cycle with me. Just like everyone else here.
