It's good to see you here and hopefully you'll stick around and get your heart disease sorted out. A five day fast is a good practice run and if you're getting your diet lifestyle and other lifestyle factors (pure air, pure water, sunshine, exercise, rest, sleep, relaxation, correct temperatures, emotional balance, etc) sorted out, you'll be well on the way to being very well! Longer fasts will help speed up the operation but you do these when you're mentally prepared.
Are you including nuts and seeds in your diet as well as fruits and veg? They are important sources of protein and many other nutrients.
Did you get your leg pain while fasting or after you started eating? It probably doesn't make much difference as the detox process can lead to many symptoms but and it will continue for a while.
Sparkling water is not recommended as part of a water fast. It adds carbon dioxide where the body doesn't need or want it and as you say, diminishes the fast.
