Re: My story

@sirpreis: i don't claim it IS psoriasis, i rather think it's something similar, akin to psoriasis. the categories we use in medicine are nothing absolute, they were introduced by us, for us to structure the multitude of different disorders, diseases and conditions there are. the lines are blurring here. EC (i hate to call it EC, there's no inflammation in most cases) has some characteristics that Psoriasis also has, but still works differently. also, the many cases of this condition are quite different from person to person, so it's hard to make ultimate claims here. in fact, no two cases of Psoriasis are the same. they may manifest in similar or even the exact same way on the surface but the ongoing mechanisms in the body can be entirely different.
the only way to achieve more clarity regarding this condition and possibly a valid approach is to get to know oneself and find out what helps and what doesn't. i still do believe there's an answer for everyone here although it may be extremely hard, if not impossible to find for some. this is a dysfunction of some sort, one or some of the body's many "subsystems", at best working perfectly together to guarantee that everything works the way it should, got confused and causes weird symptoms on the surface. same with acne, same with so many other disorders. on the lips however, it's especially problematic because they are continuously in motion, get wet quite often, sit right in the face and therefore attract a lot of attention.

@Vunk: i know it's hard to accept it but we just have to embrace what life has in store for us. there's no way around it. i also have to struggle mentally time after time, but deep inside i know there is a reason i got this. and this is just my fate - no way to escape it. you will realize the many good things this condition brought you. just keep up your exercise, healthy lifestyle and don't sit in front of the pc too much - bad for your eyes and your back ;) btw, you are still really young, so you have plenty of time to beat this. (i'm 23 - not quite as young but still young enough, don't stress yourself over this!)
