Chiron, I love that little talk as well. I have never tried hibiscus yet, and I will definitely learn how to make that drink/meal.
Agreed on steeping, straining and then pouring hot water on the herb. We both had come to the same idea - maybe it is the same little character who spoke to us :)) I discovered that for certain power herbs, 2-3 times steeping still produce flavored drink, fading of course, but I love to get the most from the herbs. Furthermore, distilled water seems to keep the bacteria away more effectively during the process ...
