Re: Struggling with Weight Loss

Well it definitely seems like you are going in the right direction and losing the inches off your waist means that you are making progress regardless of what the scale says. I would recommend that you stick to eating fruit whole and only juicing vegetables (no tomatoes or carrots). I know this makes juicing a little more boring and less tasteful but it will be better if you want to lose weight. In clinical studies, fruit juice (even freshly juiced) is processed by the body exactly the same as Sugar or glucose. In fact, fruit Sugar (fructose) and glucose have the same molecular formula. If you are going to do a juice fast, you can use fruit and vegetable juice but in your everyday juicing I would skip the fruit, you will have much better success with weight loss. I agree with the person who recommended the juice fast instead of water fast. Both are good for those who are overweight, but a Water Fast will slow the metabolism more than a juice fast and your metabolism is already probably very slow.

Exercise and physical activity is really the key to healthy weight, but not all exercise is created equal. I am very keen on the sprint 8 method. This technique stimulates muscle growth, fat loss, and greatly increases growth hormone production. Watch this video on how to do this technique and see what you think. Pay particular attention to the intensity at which he trains as this is really the key factor. We can exercise for hours and never make a big change for our body, but this 20 min. exercise really affects the body.

Good luck
