Re: What is the hyphal form of candida and..

There is the yeast form and the fungal form, although once it becomes systemic and spread to other parts of your part it readily transforms between the two in order to best avoid the immune system. In fact candida can even transform into the fungal form after being consumed by a white macrophage while in the yeast form... effectively killing the white blood cell. The fungal form is what grows large colonies like the ones in the pic and other posts.

Unfortunately there is a disturbingly low amount of actual information on the web regarding systemic candidiasis stemming from it's fungal or hyphal form that infests the intestines. This is why so few people understand it, especially on the Candida Forum s even those with so called "expert"s on them. You have constant reference to "yeast" overgrowth and the mental picture most have is completely wrong and incorrect.

In fact one poster who has been posting on the candida support board for 5 years did not even know that these fungal colonies existed. He called my pictures of them "mucus". He also wrote that "all candida both fungal and yeast form are microscopic" which is a gross misunderstanding. Thankfully, he recently released a few colonies and now is reconsidering his previous misconceptions.
