Re: It's out, still suffering

I have frequently had symptoms of blood Sugar problems - classic symptoms, but my levels are always normal. This is the curse! I have clear symptoms of thyroid problems, but my levels are normal (although my TSH is at the very bottom of the normal range). It's amazing how normal we can be when we're feeling anything but normal.

I wish you luck in talking to your doctor! I'm curious to see how it goes.

Keep taking care of yourself. It's true that dealing with these IUD reactions brings a level of uncertainty in our lives. For a couple years, I couldn't make any commitments because everything depended on how I felt that day. I had to learn to live with that, and things got easier over time.

I learned to have great sympathy for people with chronic disease and pain who deal with it every day, year after year. I was going crazy because the worst illnesses I'd dealt with before my IUD reaction were bad colds. Maybe I'd be sick for a few weeks. And morning sickness, but I knew that would end. It was a whole new, crazy, frightening experience to be so ill with unexplained symptoms that matched some very scary diseases. The fear and anxiety are a good chunk of the battle for recovery for many of us.

You can read about my experience, or anybody's experience, by clicking on our user names and reading past posts. Reading this forum kept me sane. It kept the anxiety at bay when it surged during rough times.
