Okay, so do you think a reaction flask on a magnetic stirrer would suffice to match the hot plate method? The main issue being that I don't have access to any HCl atm and so I'm trying to find a way to work with that I've got. That would be standard Miracle-Mineral-Supplement with 50/50 citric acid . However, I noticed that the reaction will move along when stirred and so I'm thinking that might compensate for the stronger acid drip method. As for a scrubber, I think I'm going to try using a 1/2 sodium chlorite mixture to see if it picks-up any chlorine from the gas, if I understand correctly, chlorine will activate sodium chlorite.
The only thing left now is to get some chlorine dioxide and chlorine test strips. Though I'm not sure if I'll be able to test for chlorine in the CDS. However, it might get picked-up if I dilute it in water.
