Re: O/T Amazing Video Series! Presentation by Stasha Gominak, MD, neurologist

You can search her understanding and concepts and find the information here on CZ too. We have had these very discussions over the years. Took a few minutes to find a thread written about 3 years ago on the concept that high cholesterol is associated with low vitamin D.

It will take little time to find information on things such as B12, and the understanding that too little or too much of a particular nutrient can manifest the SAME symptoms. I am not sure that many people comprehend that.

What is exciting here is that we seem to have an increasing number of physicians in various disciplines presenting the idea that nutrition is the way to heal patients, not drugs.

Whether we want to debate the details or not, and we should as we move forward with the *known truth* and refine it, this is encouraging.

Newport mentioned silica for instance... sulfur is essential as well for *D* and B12, and the sulfur cycle on this planet is broken due to agrochemicals use, especially chemical fertilizers. Silica interferes with sulfur and vice versa - you can use one to reduce the other... but in the body they also work and are needed together too. In addition, both silica and sulfur require EFAs in order to be utilized - the body is more than *one* nutrient or mineral - it all works together.
