I just love reading these posts - so many of you ladies have clearly educated yourselves about life post-mirena and are such fighters. And I almost want to cry when I read the posts of devoted and loving family members who are fighting too - Hailey56 you're a blessing. I know that I wouldn't be sane without my support system, and am grateful to anyone who's there for someone when they're fighting the scourge of mirena.

But, back on topic, I have a question about pregnancy post-mirena. I had mirena in for 5 months, and I've been 3 months mirena-free. Once I'm a little further into my recovery and feeling more like myself again I'd like to try to get pregnant. To the ladies out there who've had children after having mirena out - how did it go? Did your symptoms flare up, or did all of the mommy hormones override the mirena-caused imbalances? I'd just like to know what I'm facing.

Also, I started taking oral birth control (cyclessa) again, hoping that it would help with my recovery by easing the estrogen crash and testosterone problems I'm having. Any comments from you knowledgeable commenters? Tweet
