Re: High dosage of Iodine, valid justification?

i did not. i was taking 800mcg of selenium on the mistaken notion that dr olree was doing the same. well, i finally got to the point that i was overloaded(due to taking the kind from yeast more than taking that high dose) and i had to take a break. now i take 200mcg a day and do really well. i now suggest for people to take 400mcg of selenomethionine only for the first year and then go to 200mcg. in the case of this cancer case, they were already taking 800mcg of selenomethionine ONLY and i told them to keep that up until a resolution of the cancer is achieved. running out of selenium is a major cause of cancer.

i had already done a ton of cleansing and diet changing and multitudes of supplements, so when i started Iodine i didnt have any problem at all. i played with the b vitamins and took a little vitamin C but no difference to me. i just wanted to be doing what others were. the salt pushing was the only thing i kept up due to more and more bromine coming out.

as i recall, the change from 50mg to 100mg of Lugols was nothing short of amazing. its that much better.

if there were one overwhelming point to this forum it would be that Iodine is NOT a poison. to the contrary, it is an essential and widely deficient nutrient, the lack of which has far reaching health consequences, up to and including death from some of the illnesses its absence permits. the medical industry is scared to death of it and they want you to be as well. i went to the extreme to prove its safety - taking 3,750mg of pure Iodine in the form of 5 grams of potassium Iodide in one day. all at once, in fact. no one, not a single soul, has ever challenged me on this fact. they know better. so anything under a gram is like discussing whether one should eat one tic-tac or ten in one day. in fact, the tic-tacs are more dangerous.
