Re: Wondering if this is related

The issue is MaryG, that whenever I get my blood Sugar tested it is always perfectly healthy. And that has been by a doctor about 4 times within the last 6 months. Plus I did check it when I had a device about 2 years ago, and it would at worst be about 60 or sometimes no higher than 100.

High blood Sugar being particularly not likely in my case, since I often showed more signs of low blood sugar.

I often did find myself wondering why I somehow exhibit health problems strikingly like diabetes, and that somehow they were both type 1 and type 2 symptoms.

Given that I had morbid obesity, it is almost 100% positive that I suffered some degree of at least pre diabetes. But now that so much time has passed and I appear stuck at 175 lbs rather than 330, there is no clear picture as to what my pancreas is doing or if it is even diabetes.

My brain in particular feels starved, but I am still physically exhausted. Pancreas and thyroid disease seem high on the list. People talk a lot about adrenals, but that clearly is not all that is wrong with me.

Dairy studies showed that it could cause type 1 autoimmune diabetes. Diet in general, as far as gut flora and allergens could do it. It may be that I do not produce insulin well or T3. Alas, I wish I understood the Science of it better. It would be interesting if I responded well to an insulin shot, given that I did have some Sugar in my diet. I must produce some insulin though or else I would have high blood sugar.

I am not really sure how type 1 diabetics end up with low blood sugar other than too much insulin shot, though they do.

This is not so different from Addison's. These diseases don't get "named" until they become so severe you end up in the hospital getting diagnosed. I believe cancer, diabetes, and autoimmune reactions exist on a spectrum. They are in a prestage, undiagnosed, for years if not decades in most people, until eventually you end up really sick. This just makes me want to get my health together that much more so with healthy means. Exercise particularly always prevents these diseases. The Science behind that is probably so important, if I knew it, I would not be sick. I can't tell you why it keeps you from getting sick, but it does-more so than anything else.

I am looking into what diabetes has in common with things like ulceritive colitis, CFS, cancer, morbid obesity, and inflammatory diseases. Particularly degenerative GI Tract related or auto immune syndromes.

What I notice about all these diseases, is that in some form they affect nutrients uptake and energy metabolism. I guess the liver, digestive tract, and endocrine system stop doing their job. Without those, you cannot absorb and use nutrients. It just seems to be affecting my brain severely.

What I do know, is that if I were this sick as a child I would have been put in remediation classes. I think what is wrong with me would make most people retarded. I could just be crazy, but I am pretty sure I am a very intelligent person with disease caused cognitive impairment.

This is very complex medical Science to understand how the biochemical pathways in the liver work, such as glycolysis, etc. Or that fact that T3 is so important for that liver function, which is so essential for metabolism, nourshiment and life.

But the take home message is that these diseases have that in common, that they damage energy metabolism. The brain uses 25% of the metabolism. Also I am just bias and angry for being so impaired. It is not like I can run a 4 minute mile. I have no physical endurance either.

I believe it is possible to have very low blood sugar in the brain or the liver, but it will not show with testing the extremities via poking fingers.

At this point, I believe I have some sort of particularly bad leaky gut problem causing immune and endocrine problems because of how my body is reacting to the undigested food particles in my blood. Obviously these upsets would cause problems with blood sugar and insulin.

Past that I do not know how, or how to fix it, aside from healing my gut and going on a diet similar to SCD or paleo diet. Granted I think broths and fermented foods are what I need, because the muscle protein is acidic and cancer promoting.

In the past, when I ate extremely clean, but reasonable calories, and exercised, I was able to clearly think. I had to avoid dairy, gluten, and starch and I did OK. But it took months initially for my system to see the benefits of avoiding those. I guess some sort of dairy/gluten specific type of lymphocytes of antigens had to be shed out of my system first. It also may have affect brain cells, and those took time to "recalibrate" or resensitize.

I have just gotten some books on autism and the gut brain psychology syndrome, etc. It also makes me think of a doctor who has said that it is often hormone and neurotransmitter resistance that is at the heart of disease rather than the lack of them. It would be all these environmental toxins that seem to block up the receptors. Ray peat says that with leaky gut, the complex starches act as false signals in your body once they get into the blood.
