I take bromelain primarily for its effect on tendonitis and other joint and muscle pain, but bromelain has a few uses that may help candida sufferers. It is a mucous thinner, which helps sinuses and the body in general, since most of us who are sick have excess mucous. Also, it helps the body digest any junk that may be clogging up the circulatory or lymphatic systems.
Most of us don't get enough enzymes through our diets, so I think that it's important to supplement with them. Systemic enzymes like bromelain help the body's natural cleansing systems like an ideal fruit and vegetable diet would.
