I never thought about putting her on gluten free diet. When she was 2 she had a blood test for celiac disease and it came back negative. But now I'm thinking hmmm! how accurate is the blood test for celiac disease? may be I should try it.
Acctually I never thought about putting her on any kind of diet, because she was underweight she hardly put on weight and seemed to hate all kinds of food, She was diagnosed with failure to thrive, she was underweight when she was born 3 pounds 13oz, The first two years we were very desperate we were just running from doctor to doctor seeking answer.
At the age of two her gastro doctor suggested the feeding tube to give her extra calorie during the day and night. we are giving her NUTREN ( Very high-calorie formula) we are giving her about 500 ml = 500cal a day (we used to give her about 750ml) since then she started gaining weight and now she is at the normal weight but she still have a microcephaly (small head).
PS. She seems thirsty all the time she drinks a lot of water since she was a baby.
