This was the 5 equation given by JT
88 g KI + 44 g Iodine + 1000 g distilled H2O = 1132 g total solution
44 g Iodine divided by 1132 g total solution = 0.039, or a 4% Lugol's solution
and you are just dividing the IO and PIO and adding them together.
Sooooo I would like to hear some views on these different figuring methods.
So the other side of the question is when the mg content is referred to for ex as 2.5mg on what is referred to as 2% Lugols what the heck are we taking about. The combined content or the IO content.
I'm just trying to determine what constitutes as taking 50mg or 100 mg
