Re: Bulimia has made me obese/skinny??

I can relate to the last poster, saying, " I dont when the natural methods will work!!"

Well, like you, I ruined my body with starvation and bulimia.

It was after I had my child. I was 75 pounds over weight. I tried to exercise and diet, but seemed to be making no progress, so I resorted to juicing and fasting, but in an unhealthy way.

the first 26 pound lost looked good. But then, I kept trying to lose the weight through starvation/(and throwing up when there was a transgression).

I did lose another 26 pounds, and I am down to what I thought would be my goal weight, but it did not happen rightaway.

Like you, I had fat deposits. Like you, I could bloat up over eating nothing!!

Eventually, I was able to settle into an exercise routine and that was the key. Cardio, and Callenetics will do the trick. (Callenetic exercises are POWERFUL!! And you will shrink two inches in 6 weeks)

I dont advise weight training. I know that is taboo. Weight training just made me bigger. I bulked up, yeah, I was stronger, but I still had visible fat. Who cares if you have abs, if they are packed in fat!!!!

Here is my point.

Its going to take time.

no matter what method you choose.

Your body is fighting you and does not trust you, so each healthy change is going to take time.

with me, I yo-yo'd so so much that I can no longer lose weight in a linear fashion. I have to diet, exercise, diet exercise, and maybe after about a month, my body will drop 5 pounds.

I 've started to journal my progress, and hindsight that is what the calculation looks like.

You have to exercise at least 4 days a week, AND watch your diet.

Because your body is in recovery from bulimia, its going to take a minimum of six months, possibly up to a year of a consistent routine for you to get your body back.

Even if you go RAW, VEGAN, etc. emotionally you will feel better right away, but physically, in terms of suppleness, and no cellulite, its going to take six months.
