Re: Blastocystis hominis and co-trimoxazole (Bactrim)

Hi Kanchi,

Like Sharimpy told you if you are intending using Bactrim, then find the two other drugs and start the triple therapy. You have nothing to lose.

I remember reading that Albendazol was not effective against Blasto. I'm not sure but I will try to find the paper. It seems strange that Albendazole is given now to people with Blasto.

If doctors continue to ignore parasitic infections in the west in fiew years it will be terrible. Many people are sick just by reading their stories here in the forum and many who don't know this forum are probably believing their doctors telling them it's stress, Depression ect.

I knew a young girl here in Toronto that her father told me she has colitis for almost 11 years now. I told him to check for parasites. All doctors treated her for Ulcerative colitis as a disease and not a symptoms from something else. Doctors are very arrogants to convince them like Jackie said in her web site "They will see it when they believe in it".

Good luck in your treatment.
