Forgive me for asking a rather simplistic question, I'm not trying to be clever here...

Have you checked your levels of stomach acid?

Associated things would be checking zinc levels and taking liver bitters with meals. ..and, as has already been mentioned, H-pylori..

It might also be worth trying to eat fermented sauerkraut with your meals (if you're not sensitive to fermented foods or lactic acid), or fermented beets, with Celery etc. (rich in sodium and betaine).

I'm not proposing any of the above as a 'cure' just something to consider along the way.

I'm wondering if there is some putrefaction occurring with the contents of the first meal.

I'm also wondering if there is something awry with the function of the pyloric sphincter (might be in the form of not being signaled correctly by sufficient chyme acidity, for example).
