I will try the lengthwise, since I want the most connection & connectivity possible. But then, I wonder how many times I may roll off to the side of it or have get a little squished together from movement. I realize that would be the benefit of placing it horizontally. Which, of course brings up the question of why it isn't wider, hence circles me back to my original thought on the awkward measurements/shape, lol.

Just wondering why they can't just make bed sheets in the standard sizes?
