Re: BTW...Re: Grounding/Earthing Testimony

Hi Sandy,

I'm sorry I haven't responded to your posts until now, I'm going to cover them all in this one post. I'm so happy that you got the starter kit, I think the plethora of benefits one will see is truly amazing!

Today I placed my "foot mat" on the chair in my office and just sat on it most of the day since it seemed rally unnatural for me to keep my feet on the mat on the floor at all times.  Maybe it's cos I have short legs, maybe it's cos I like to tuck one or both legs under me as I type--but it just seemed easier to sit on it.  Hopefully that's not a proble...didn't see anything on i in the book or start up instructions.

I find I was having trouble keeping both feet on my mat too lol!  My legs aren't short, I just have the bad habit of sitting on one or the other of my feet, but since I've had the mat I've much improved that bad habit (not at all good for the circulation!).  I find that I keep my bare feet on the mat (without the cover) about 90% of the time now.  When I feel like I must put a foot under me, I only keep it there long enough to assuage my bad habit lol, but the other foot stays on the mat.  As far as sitting on the mat, Sheila from the company (who has worked with Clint Ober for 11 years) told me I should use the mat without the cover and put my bare skin on the mat.  I know they show a picture of a lady sitting on the mat on their website so there is some conflicting information on the instructions, I'll touch on that later in the post.  If you're putting your bare feet up under you on the mat (without the cover) then I would think that is fine.

Just a quick follow up since it's been about a week now - I definitely am sleeping better while using the sheet (although I thought I read somewhere that earthing would also help tight neck muscles relax, and I am still waiting to see results there).

I had those tight shoulder/neck muscles too, after the second night I felt they were at least 50% less tight.  Mine were so tense that my shoulders/neck hurt all the time.  It's one of those things you get used to, know what I mean?  I can't exactly remember how many nights it took (maybe a week?) but all the pain/tightness is gone now! YAY!!!  If that doesn't clear up for you within a month maybe you could try the patches for localized pain, or, it wouldn't hurt for you to lie down with the mat (without the cover) curved around your neck for as long as you could stand it, I would imagine it would't be comfortable but it's worth a shot huh?

I will try the lengthwise, since I want the most connection & connectivity possible.

This is something else that Jim has said that directly conflicts (no offense Jim, just sayin') with what the book says (and all their double blind studies) and what I've been told from the company and what people have testified on videos.  Uny posted a video of a lady who only used the wrist band at first and got almost completely off her sleep medication with just the band.

Uny and I will get to the bottom of this and find out the "correct" facts of the matter since we are recommending their products on this forum!  And as Uny pointed out to me last night, when Clint did his trials on people he used only the patches and he got fantastic results!  So in the meantime I wouldn't stress too much about being "more" grounded by having "more" bare skin on the product.

Which, of course brings up the question of why it isn't wider, hence circles me back to my original thought on the awkward measurements/shape, lol.

Just wondering why they can't just make bed sheets in the standard size?

I'm right there with you on that lol!  I would be much more comfortable with a whole fitted sheet.  They used to have them, as a matter of fact they just sold out of the queen size fitted sheet.  Sheila from Earthing.com told me that they were working on getting fitted sheets in various sizes again.  I am currently using mine at the foot of the bed, but if it gets at all wrinkled it bugs me so I'm re-tucking it tightly every night before I go to bed.

I would imagine that when they manufacture the sheet/pad it is much cheaper to have a 36" width instead of 48" or even 60", there are a lot of people who can't afford even the 36" sheet/pad in this economy let alone a larger one...maybe that's it. Maybe they didn't sell a lot of the fitted sheets due to the expense.  If I'm not mistaken, the queen sheet they just sold out of was $269.  When/if they ever do get the fitted sheets again, I'll be one of the first in line to buy one lol!

Abundant blessings,

Willow
