A human parasite is one whose primary host is human. Dog Tapeworms are not human parasites because dogs are their primary hosts, and we are their secondary hosts. In other words, we can only get them from contact with a dog or dog feces. Most Tapeworms are secondary human parasites.
A primary human parasite example would be candida, because it is present in our digestive systems at all times, just needs the proper set of conditions to get out of control.
